鸳鸯江
Drake River
三江汇合处,桂江水与西江水,一浊一清、一急一缓,泾渭分明,恰似戏水鸳鸯,相互依偎,相互拥抱,长相厮守,难舍难分。苏东坡赞曰:“鸳鸯秀水世无双。”
At the confluence of three rivers, the clear Guijiang River
mingles with the turbid main stream of the West River,
suggesting the dark and light,
female and male elements exhibited so happily by the
duck and the drake. Su Dongpo, a very
famous poet in the Song Dynasty, wrote in his poem:
”the clear-muddy Drake River is unparalleled
in the world”.
